What facilities are available at the Hall?

Large hall, double kitchen area with serving hatches, separate bar, lawned garden area,

with male, female and disabled toilets.

 

What is the size of the Hall?

 

The main hall is 11 metres wide by 18 metres long.

The middle of the hall is 4.5 metres high, but the sides are only 2.4 metres high (sloped ceiling).

This excludes toilets, bar, kitchen and entrance hall.

 

What is the seating capacity?

The village hall can seat up to 120 people. Number of seats available at the hall are 120 included in the cost of hire.

 

How many people can the hall accommodate if standing only?

The hall can accommodate 160 people standing.

 

Is there any outside space?

Yes there is a garden area to the left of the property.  If you wish to use the outside for a barbeque please note you need to bring your own.

 

Is there a car park available?

The village hall is next to Parish Council owned car park at the right hand side of the property, which could accommodate approximately 30 cars including 2 disabled bays.  Use of the carpark is at hirers risk and there is no guarantee of a free space as free for all visitors to use.

 

What kitchen facilities are available?

There is a double kitchen area both with serving hatches into the main hall.  Equipment available - double oven, oven trays, fridge, microwave, 1 continuous water boilers, a large selection of plates, cups, glasses, water jugs, teapots and cutlery.

 

What bar facilities are available? 

The bar area has its own serving area.  Equipment available - drinks fridge, wine cooler, glass washer, fridge, assortment of drinking glasses, ice bucket.

 

Does the hall have an Alcohol license?

The hall is licensed for the consumption of alcohol but not the sale of alcohol.  Hirers wishing to sell alcoholic drinks must obtain a license from Leeds City Council. 

 

Number of tables available?

Total number of tables available within the cost of hire are 33 (22 large 1.81m by 0.69m, 11 small 1.21m by 0.69m). Additional tables are available from Miners Welfare Hall within the Village (10 large, 6 small).

 

Can the hall be divided?

The hall has available a number of wooden partitions which can be used to reduce the size of the hall.

 

Can I view the hall prior to booking?

Is there a speaker system which can be used?

There is an amplifier/ speaker system available, please make sure you request this to be available at the time of placing your booking.

 

I would like to book the hall regularly, can I negotiate a rate?

We endeavour to keep our charges competitive and affordable, regular users please discuss your requirements with our Booking secretary 07391 196155.

 

We are a charity or a not-for-profit organisation is there a cheaper hire rate?

Yes we have a discounted rate for both charities and not-for-profit organisations who hire the hall.

 

How do we collect keys?

The booking secretary will arrange a location and time for key collection, please remember to bring your damage deposit which is payable in cash.

 

Do I have to pay a damage deposit?

A damage deposit is payable by cash upon collection of keys the deposit is £500 for a wedding event and £50 for any other adhoc booking, the damage deposit will be refunded within 14 days post hire of hall.

 

What methods of payment can be accepted for hall hire?

We can accept cheques, cash and bank payments.

 

When is payment due for hall hire?

Payments must be made 21 days prior to your hall hire.  Booking is not secure until paid for in full.

 

Cancellations?

If you cancel your event within 7 days of your hire no refund will me made.

Cancel within 14 days of your event 50% will be refunded and cancel within 21 days or more of your event 100% will be refunded.
